The Goddess Of Death I Doth Love

The Goddess Of Death I Doth Adore

by Charles E S Fairey

I played many a tune

To my Goddess of Doom,

Even when Rome burnt down

Nothing could remove my comedic frown.

I played many a lyre

To the world of liars,

Even when war cut men down

Nothing could remove my comedic frown.

I played a guitar on the World Stage

As my eyes and the crowd caught ablaze,

Even when Death could cut no more

Her Kiss I shall evermore adore.

I played many a tune

To my Goddess of Doom,

At the End when mankind cried

To my Goddess I went and ride,

Whilst God wept his anger leapt

Whilst Man slept great Mary wept,

For this World had lived and was no more

Her Kiss I shall evermore adore,

For I slept within her deadly embrace

And nothing shall ever forget my comedic face.

Mankind came and went

Upon the wings of a dove sent,

Yet I was left bleating no more

The fiery sword is what I adore,

And I never ever ever heard another knock at my Kingdom’s door

For it is the Goddess of Death I love, Tooth, Nail and Claw.
