No Eyes Where Eyes Should Be

No Eyes Where Eyes Should Be

by Charles E S Fairey

No eyes where eyes should be

For I be what I want to be

And I see what I want to see

My eyes veil free

For I be the hidden soul of He,

My eyes and soul torn from reality

No eyes where eyes should be,

For I be the Lord of the babbling brook

All verses spoken from the sacred book

Reading the passages eternally each and every day

Everything in rhymes I say,

Lord of the Land

‘Till the clock runs out of sand

Eyes from right to left

The flashes of the text

In front of my dark eyes

Revealing all truth and lies,

No eyes where eyes should be.
